Today was my first day back at work. It was orientation only but still, I was out of the house. I opened up a new bank account - cause I hate those blood suckers called BofA. I had a chance to share the story of how my family came to be in Texas with the banker. You could have framed that moment in time. My grandmother asked me one day if I wanted to move to Texas. She told me that our blessing would be in Texas - at least that is what God said to her spirit. There was no doubt in my mind and I wanted a change. So it was that day that we decided to move to Texas. But what happened afterwards was the kicker.
Our landlord gave us a wonderful gift. He came by our house to let my grandmother know that he would be remodeling the place where we stayed. But we told him we would be moving to Texas. He then went on to offer my grandmother something only happens on TV. He offered to pay the down payment on our house.
Can you believe it?
What man would do that for one of his tenants with no questions asked? But he did and because of it we were able to have a house built from the ground up. My grandmother was 60 years old at the time and never owned a house and me neither for that matter. One year later, here we are in Texas - the most amazing state I have ever lived in. Not because of the people only but their faith in God and how the people of this state boldly go forth in their faith. It is amazing. Everything that I have been through out here has been a blessing and I hope I can bless someone the way our landlord blessed us one day. For that I am forever grateful. I shared this with the banker today - it is good to tell people sometimes of the good things that happen to you. It lets you know that there is Good and God in this world despite all of the chaos.

Amen! What an awesome thing to do. I love hearing testiomonies to these types of things. It's wonderful and heart warming. Glad to hear you are enjoying Texas.
Texas is AWESOME. I have never seen God so clear in this world outside of church. It is inspiring and I am glad we are here.
