Today, I got my fat butt out of bed, recruited my "I wanna go" daughter and exercised. There is nothing like exercising with a 10 year old. She was cheering me on, "Comon' mom, you can do it, a little more to go!" She was also singing a Michael Jackson song most of the time that we were jogging while I was chugging along like a broke caboose, belly jigglin all over the place.
It
Wasn't
{Pretty}
Things that made it worse:
1. My shirt didn’t fit. It shrank to half it’s size right after I washed it. I’ve had it like 5 years. My brother would say the shirt was really “young” – that means small in 17 year old urbanese. I never wanted to throw it away because it was part of a set – these EXTREMELY large and roomy pair of gray sweats. Now those suckers have NEVER shrunk. No matter how many times I wash them.
2. Someone was smoking in one of the houses that’s backed up next to the running track. It’s bad enough ma belly was bouncin up and down like a theater curtain dropping but now I had to fight cig smoke AND asthma.
3. I didn’t have on a sports bra. I don’t have one that fits. I refuse to tie those babies up with an ace bandage, the material aint strong enough.
PICTURE IT – one large black woman running next to Tinkerbell, carrying 5lb sacks of potatoes on her chest – that was me. Have you ever put water balloons in a plastic bag and had to carry them?
Those are my boobs in an inadequate bra.

We worked out for an hour though and I was proud of my daughter.
On a more lovely note, on the way to the “park” my daughter pointed out the beautiful rainbows on the ground. Now these were pretty and made me long for my camera, lost during “The Big Move”. CRAP. I had my Huawei Ascend camera phone. I guess they are alright. Some were blurry though due to my shaky hands.
Only my daughter would point out the beautiful chaos left behind from oil leaking cars, waiting for their dew drop paint strokes to make them come alive. It has rained quite a bit this week.

This reminds me of the Buffalo Bills logo – what do you think?
This by far is my favorite one.

Visiting from Picnesday, and glad I did. Your story of working out has me A. Feeling guilty...I so need to do that, too. and B. Laughing like crazy!! Get a sports bra that fits, girl! Trying to job w/those babies just doing their own thing is impossible! I know! LOL!
@Mercurial - I cant find one that fits! I have to go to a special boob bra store and the last one I found was in Dallas. Dont feel guilty about exercising....I got off my duff after a long long time of putting it off. I have to create an exercise streak though. So far my streak is ONE!
Haha! You are hilarious! You need a good sports bra friend :D
And I love the oil spill rainbows! I do notice these on the ground sometimes but never thought of taking pictures of them. They do look lovely and the last one's my fave too!
Thanks for linking up to Picnesday! :)
Thank you @ Kiddothings - I need to find a specialty store for my girls....I hope to take more pictures of leaking oil.
I love that you find beauty in unexpected places. And you're totally right about the Buffalo Bills logo.
