Got Me Workin Workin Day and Night

Ok today is day FIVE - count it, 1-2-3-4-5 of my job and I am so encouraged and excited. Granted now, I have been in training all week but I am working. I have to laugh though at the sense of humor God has. Every interview I have been on I have said that I would like to help people. And I have prayed to God to put me in a position to help people - what better place to do that then the Texas Workforce Commission.......helping people apply for unemployment. It is ironic but God is good.

On another note - I would like to give a shout out to Hillary who always looks good and is not afraid to show it. You GO GIRLIE!!!!!!!!!

The Biggest Loser

My church is planning their own Biggest Loser program. I am excited. I believe we will even have a prize. Motivation always helps in the battle with the bulge. Now I have to figure out when I wil have the chance to work out. More than likely it will be in the morning now that I am working.....oh yeah - work. Work is interesting. I am in training but I am also looking forward to helping people. There are so many people out here who need help right now. It is just so disheartening sometimes. You know people are hurting and they call in for unemployment insurance just to have their hopes dashed because most people dont realize that UI is NOT a form of welfare. But one can hope right?

And unemployment rate has just dropped......

I got a job, sha na na na, sha na-na-na-na. I was officially offered employment at the Texas Workforce Commission in Ft. Worth - WOO HOO! Like I told my chica Jen of Prior Fat Girl, God must have a sense of humor. Who would think that I would:

1. Work with my grandmother at the same job
2. work with unemployment claims
3. be content

I didnt think I would. I have looked since May for a permanent job. It has been rough. But I understand why it has taken me so long. I had a chip on my shoulder. I thought I was sooo much smarter then my co-workers and bosses and quite frankly I let them know about it. Now I will just shut up and work then go home.
