I was so honored and happy! I mean even if the real reason why they want to participate is because they know I'm going to cook everyday - who cares! I'll take that!
We did well last year; we did fall off for like 3 days though and it was HARD.
This year, the Daniel Fast kind of coincided with the beginning of my change of diet plan. I was eating very well, nothing but veggies, fruit and whole grains. I also exercised.
Before Christmas Break, I was on a Spark People Challenge to exercise for 10 minutes a day everyday. I had a set routine, get up at 4am, eat, take the kiddies to school, come home eat again, exercise, shower and run errands.
Then I went on vacation - literally. I ate what I wanted for 11 days and didn't exercise not once. What did that lead to? I ran in place with my husband for 20 freaking seconds and was TOTALLY out of breath.
No es bueno.
I have a couple more not so good after-effects of my Christmas break:
- I went to the doctor on 1/10/2013 and the scale blinked up at me 255.
- My asthma is in full effect.
To address the elephant in the room, I crossed the invisible plane of weighing over 250.
This isn't good.
This scared me.
There is no way I am going to have a baby again if I am carrying around over 150lbs of extra people.

So on January 12 - I am starting over again. I can't go another year like this or it will kill me.
Besides, I am tired of seeing all these people losing weight around me and sitting there saying to myself, "Wow, if they could do it, how about me...."
How about me then?
So, to my Skinny - I know where you are. And I'm gonna find you. Be afraid. Be very afraid.
To help me along my journey, here is a short list of people who AWESOMELY motivate and ROCK the healthy kick scene. I will highlight more as a I go.
